The “Colletta di Castelbianco” project involved the recovery of a precious medieval village (13th century) located in the hinterland of Albenga, on the western Ligurian Riviera. The project, drafted by internationally renowned architect Professor Giancarlo De Carlo, is divided into two levels of intervention: one based on the overall recovery of the ancient village in the respect of its peculiarities; the village was then one of the first in Europe to be equipped with a local communication network (LAN) interconnected to the Internet; both these aspects have earned the project worldwide resonance and fame.
